Well, that's just it - I'd love a mentor, but what will she/he do, and what will be expected of me?

Typically, a partnership between a VA mentor and a new VA is created when the mentor is willing to exchange his/her training and expertise in exchange for having a bit of support from the new VA.

Many mentor VAs don't have the time to create extensive training materials or give classes and such - perhaps they prefer the ease and sociability of a one on one relationship. Plus, they feel they're helping a newer VA avoid many of the typical pitfalls that many of us have gone through over the years.

Some mentor VAs provide their knowledge with zero expectation of returns. As our little site here grows, I anticipate members offering their mentorship.
